Exploring the Green River: A Conversation with Tony Foster and John Muir Laws

October 14, 2022 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm PDT

Attend this FREE 90-minute live program at The Foster Museum and hear Tony Foster in conversation with John Muir Laws.

The Green River is the major tributary of the Colorado River. This fall Foster will paint in the Rocky Mountains’ Wind River Range and also canoe to the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers in Canyonlands National Park. Just back from this month’s long expedition to the Green River in mid-October, Foster will regale John Muir Laws and their audience with stories of painting along the Green River for his 18th Journey, Exploring the Green River. Foster began this Journey before the pandemic, and now he will complete these paintings and prepare the artworks for their opening exhibition in June 2023 at Buffalo Bill Center of the West’s Whitney Western Art Museum in Cody, Wyoming.

Expect a lively discussion and salient observations about painting watercolors in the wide open spaces that Tony Foster so enjoys.

Limited audience, with proof of vaccination presented upon arrival and masking required

NOTE: For our audience that is out of the area or unable to attend, The Foster will be recording this program and making it available on their YouTube channel in the month following the talk.
