Owl-o-ween Drawing Classes with John Muir Laws

Learn “owl” about these magnificent, mysterious, and majestic raptors of the night in this 2-part owl drawing class with acclaimed artist, author, educator, and scientist John Muir Laws, author of The Laws Guide to Nature Drawing and Journaling, and The Laws Guide to Drawing Birds. With patience, clarity, and humor, John Muir Laws, also known as “Jack,” will share details on owl anatomy, and give detailed instructions and demonstrations on how to draw owls from various angles, how to accurately capture feather texture, and how to draw the owl in its environment. Join us…It will be a HOOT!

Let’s Draw Owls: Anatomy and Angles
Learning about the anatomy of owls will help you draw them more accurately. We will also practice drawing the head and body of the owl from various angles.
Tuesday, November 2, 11:30am-1pm PDT
Let’s Draw Owls: Feathers, Textures, and Environment
Owls have incredible camouflage, which also can make them confusing to draw. Learn some tips to make your owl come to life. We will also practice drawing owls in their environment, such as perched in dense trees.
All ages and experience levels are welcome.

NOTE: Richardson Bay Audubon will be hosting the event and you must register for each class you’d like to attend. These classes will be recorded and shared after the live event.
