Point Reyes Nature Journaling Retreat

May 28 June 2 PDT

Join John Muir Laws and Kate Rutter for a 5-day nature journaling retreat at the stunning Point Reyes National Seashore in Northern California.

Join us for a fun, peaceful, creative, and joyful 5-day nature journaling retreat on the stunning coast of Northern California at the peak of wildflower bloom and spring bird migration. This gathering will energize your nature journal practice while inspiring you, challenging you, and encouraging you to connect with nature, other nature journalers, and yourself. Nature journalers of all experience levels are welcome.

Expect fun, long, full days. We will hike and explore this gorgeous area and share the joy and beauty of journaling and being in nature with each other. We will discuss different ways of keeping journals and how to develop habits to keep you actively journaling while being kind to yourself and cultivating a growth mindset.

Throughout the week, Jack and Kate will offer workshops on a variety of nature journaling topics as well as informal tutorials in the field. We will journal the birds, wildflowers, landscapes, and other delights in this spectacular region, share evening talks, morning walks, and lunches in the field. Our retreat will also include a special visit to the Palomarin Field Station (operated by Point Blue Conservation Science), one of the oldest operating bird banding stations in the United States and a premiere location for long-term study of birds and their habitats.

You will come away with a journal full of beautiful memories, new journaling friends, and the tools, inspiration, and motivation to continue your nature journaling journey.
