Colored Pencil Birds with Jordan Silvia

I love the way Jordan Silvia gets rich color and detail in her pencil drawings. Let’s learn from her approach!

Join Jordan and me to learn about her process of drawing with colored pencils and sketch along while we chat. Colored pencil is a medium you’ve probably tried, but may not be aware of its amazing possibilities. Jordan will be demonstrating how she uses them to create vibrant and detailed illustrations of our flying feathered friends.

Bio:
Jordan Silvia is an artist based in South Florida specializing in colored pencil nature illustration.
Animals have long been the subjects that fuel her inclination to draw. The imagery she creates reveals her fondness of fine detail, love of color, devotion to accuracy, and tendency to spend a lot of time doing research on her subjects. In each of her works, her desire is to inspire the viewer to stop for a while and take the time to discover the extraordinary colors and subtle details found in her artwork.
