Mountain Meadows and how to create an Infografic
August 19, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm PDT

Crowdsourcing a New Infographic for Healthy Mountain Meadows: a virtual nature journaling experience
featuring Point Blue’s Sierra Nevada meadow restoration work
Join Naturalist Artist Educator John Muir Laws on a virtual visit to California’s Sierra Nevada meadows, where Point Blue scientists have been advancing conservation and restoration for more than — years. Get out “in the field” with Point Blue Sierra Nevada Group Director Ryan Burnett to understand the dynamics of healthy mountain meadows. Explore how to communicate information in an infographic that combines images and text to communicate scientific ideas. By creating the graphic you will think more deeply about the target idea and practice visual thinking. We will then work together to develop a new infographic illustrating mountain meadow ecosystems.
All ages and experience levels are welcome. Bring pencil, paper, your favorite art supplies, and a sense of humor.
