Assembling A Composite
May 18 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am PDT

Learn how to see, understand and draw composite flowers! Together, we will create quite A-ster…
Join John Muir Laws and naturalist David Lukas for a glimpse at the fascinating structure and function of composite flowers found in the sunflower family. These are the most common flowers in the world so learning how to understand and draw these classic flower shapes will be a valuable addition to your naturalist sketchbook.
David Lukas is a well-known naturalist and author who has written seven books and contributed chapters to another forty books on a tremendous range of nature topics. He has also led thousands of natural history tours, classes, workshops, and presentations. His most recent project is writing a weekly nature newsletter at www.lukasguides.com, and this week’s newsletter will focus on composite flowers and topics covered in this class.
