Art and Conservation: Horse Rescue
September 29, 2022 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am PDT
Join a discussion about Horse Rescue and rehabilitation, and learn a few tips to help you draw horses.
Join Muir Laws and special guests, Marcia Sivek of Be Provided Conservation Radio, and Julia Hyde, director of Canham Farm Horse Rescue is not your typical Horse Rescue or Horse Rehabilitation Facility. They rescue and help end the suffering of abused, neglected and unwanted horses, as well as rescue and advocate for our nation’s wild horses. They are committed to reducing the greatest amount of suffering for the largest number of horses through advocacy, education and, when possible, exposing cruelty and prosecuting abusers. For the horses in their care, they rehabilitate, train and endeavor to re-home as well as educate humans to interact with horses in a way that will benefit both horse and human.
After their presentation, John Muir Laws will share tips to help you sketch horses in your nature journal. Then join a discussion about horse rescue, conservation, and journaling.
Join John Muir Laws for weekly live nature Journaling workshops with tips, techniques, inspiration, teaching strategies, and interviews. Topics are usually announced in advance of the workshop. If special materials or class-specific downloads are available, you can find them here in the class description before the class. All ages and experience levels are welcome. No registration is necessary.
