Tips on Drawing Birds and Book Signing

Drawing/sketching is one of the best ways to slow down and look more carefully at nature. Drawing is a skill anyone can develop, when nature-sketching becomes a habit. Learn how to draws birds and learn valuable techniques to help you get started. John Muir Laws wil illustrate a species common to the Bay Area, he’ll discuss the species’ structure, behaviors, and habitat. Learn tips for using binoculars to quickly spot birds in the bush, and find out great destinations for watching and drawing birds right here in the Bay Area. Following the program, Jack will sign copies of his new book, The Laws Guide to Drawing Birds, as well as his earlier works–The Laws Guide to the Sierra Nevada and The Laws Pocket Guide Set to the San Francisco Bay Area. If you register for this free presentation we will hold a seat for you until the scheduled start time. Seating may be available at the door, even if registration is closed.
