Oh My Gourd-ness!
Let’s celebrate the harvest season with a class on drawing and painting “gourd”-geous gourds in your nature journal. In this 2-hour live online class, you will learn how to draw and paint all kinds of gourds, from shiny, plump pumpkins to warty gourds with interesting twists and intricate color markings. Because of their challenging shapes and textures, gourds are a great way to get in some pencil miles that will apply to lots of other subjects. I’ll demonstrate my best tips and techniques—using pencil, watercolor, and gouache—that I have learned through my 35 years of teaching, illustrating, and journaling.
All ages and levels welcome. All those registered for the class will receive an email with a link to join the class, which will be held on Zoom. We will also email registered participants a link to a recording of the class after it is over (within approximately one week). So please sign up even if you are not able to attend live!
When you register, please make a tax-deductible donation of $25 or more if you are able. This is a fundraiser to support food security for orphans at Amani Children’s Home in Tanzania. In this time of year when we celebrate the bounty of food and blessings that we have, let’s share a bit of our bounty with these children in need. Donations of $100+ made by 11/25 will be matched by an anonymous donor.
