NJEF: Accessibility in Senior and Interfaith Communities

The Nature Journal Educator’s Forum joins Starr Regan DiCiurcio for a discussion on how to create an inclusive community for seniors and participants with possible mobility challenges, as well as how to transcend the practice of “journaling on hikes” into a deeper love for the world.

Starr is an interfaith minister who works with a community in the Adirondacks of New York. She organizes both Zoom meetings and in-person outings for her community of predominantly seniors, and has recently begun writing a handbook to help increase nature journaling as a spiritual practice, giving participants the tools to slow down and reflect deeply on the wonders that surround us.
