A Rainbow of Colors from Three Primaries

June 9, 2015 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm PDT

$20

tioga-pass-by Kristin Meuser[Y]ou do not need a palette of a million colors if you understand the way colors mix. There is a lot of misinformation and dogma that confuses people when they try to mix colors. If you have ever accidentally mixed dull or muddy colors, it is not you. Learn how to create a rainbow of vivid hues and precisely match colors with three primaries (cyan, magenta, and yellow). Bring your journal, waterbrush (or watercolor brush with a container of water and rag), and a plant or flower to share. Your instructor, Kristin Meuser, will provide the paint ($3.00 materials fee). In this hands on workshop, you will be able to test and experiment to discover for yourself how color mixing really works and learn to avoid the common pitfalls. Say goodbye to mud and hello precise, lively, and rich color.

Kristin Meuser is a wonderful nature journaling and watercolor teacher who gives classes throughout the Bay Area and California. Learn more about Kristin and her workshops.
