Introduction to Drawing Mammals

Learn the basics of mammal anatomy that are relevant for the field sketcher. Discover how subtle differences in skeletal structure make big changes the way an animal looks. Learn a few critical muscles that are prominent beneath the fur. Discover tricks for suggesting the feel and depth of fur without drawing in every hair. We will pay particular attention to and learn tricks to quickly draw large ungulates such as deer and elk in preparation for our Point Reyes field trip.
