Lake Chabot Field Trip
August 25, 2013 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pmFree
Let’s put our landscape sketching skills to use at Lake Chabot in Castro Valley. We will meet in front of the Marina Cafe at the Lake Chabot Marina and make our way along the West Shore Trail to Coot’s Landing and Alder Point. Restrooms are available along the way. The trail is well maintained and an easy walk. For the last two years, Bald Eagles have nested at the lake and there is a good chance we will find them. Bring a spotting scope if you have one for close-ups of the eagles.
Bring your own bowl and spoon and a treat to share in our potluck lunch. I encourage you to carpool to get there. You can organize carpools on the club Facebook page.
Always check the calendar on johnmuirlaws.com on the day of a field trip to see if there are any updates or if the location has been changed due to weather.
