Mini Journal Giveaway

September 15, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm PDT

Free

One way to connect other people with nature journaling is to carry small paper journals and pencils that you can give away with the basic information to help them start nature journaling. Let’s design the perfect fold out give away journal that you can print out, fold and share. We will review how to fold a “zine” and get down to brass tacks about optamizing content to inspire others to start journaling. Essentially we have one 8.5×11 page to fill with what we think is the most critical content. How are we going to make the best use of that space?

I attended today and found it very interesting, I didn’t speak up because I was overcome with a case of the newbies, but I would like to comment that I am a scientist and a hobby level artist and I find nature journaling intimidating! Y’all need to really think about totally basic entry level suggestions. And
Please don’t say it’s not about pretty drawings and then put up something that could be a scientific illustration! Fir this particular project you are talking about handing it out to total newbies. It needs to be very very basic.

  2. Barbara Golden says:

May I bring my grand daughter Emery again to the meeting this week?
I am picking her up from school, and we usually sit in a park behind the school while we wait for her older brother to join us after he is done with school.

  3. Lynn Cruz Daniels says:

May I join your group meeting. Only discovered the Law’s book about nature journaling last month and checked it out at the library. Great stuff. I haven’t started yet.
