Coastal Ecology and Nature Journaling at Younger Lagoon

October 28, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Younger Lagoon is a stunning beach and wetland, rich in wildlife, and landscape views.

The Younger Lagoon Reserve is apart of the UC Natural Reserve System and is closed to the general public. We have permits to sketch and explore the land. This is a great place to learn about coastal processes and species. If rain is in the forecast we will still meet at the lagoon but may spend more of the day in the adjacent Seymore Marine Discovery Center.

Bring

  • Your journaling supplies.
  • A lunch treat to share (it is a potluck). Your lunch treat does not need to be portable (it can stay in the car while we explore).
  • Bowl and spoon.
  • portable stool or chair (optional).
  • Weather appropriate clothing including layers, hat, and sunscreen.
  • Sense of humor
  • Your favorite poem printed on a piece of paper to share with someone.
