Habitat Restoration & Nature Journaling: the Monoceros Journals
May 1, 2025 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am PDT

Please join Yvea Eaton-Moore and John Muir Laws for a conversation and journal share about restoration nature journaling.
Yvea has been a habitat restoration volunteer for many years in the Presidio of her hometown, San Francisco. Five years ago, she began nature journaling her stewardship work; for three of those years, she kept consistent diaries (“the Monoceros diaries”) about one particular restoration site that she solo-stewards. What emerged was a rich understanding of the place she helped to restore, as well as insights about how she could be a better steward of that place.
During Jack’s conversation with her, Yvea will share about her journey to becoming a nature steward, the joys, challenges, and growth of combining the practice of nature journaling with the practice of habitat restoration, and where she might go from here, as well as a flip through of her Monoceros diaries! All ages and experience levels are welcome. No registration is necessary.
