Tilden Park Field Trip

Join the Nature Journal Club for an adventure in Tilden Park. We will meet in front of the Environmental Education Center (EEC) and explore the park, sketching and writing about the plants and animals of the canyon and using techniques to describe the season and weather.
- Bring: your journaling kit, a potluck treat to share at lunch time, a fork and bowl.
- Optional: compass, binoculars, hand lens or magnifying glass, measuring tape.
This program is free with a $20 suggested donation. No experience necessary. All ages welcome. Bring a sketchbook and penci.
Bring Artwork for the Nature Journal Club Art Show!
You are invited to submit framed artwork with a wire on the back for hanging for the Nature Journal Club’s first art show. Please bring it with you when we meet in the morning. We will leave the artwork at the EEC before heading out into the field to sketch and explore.

We have an indoor space there. Looks like any rain will be in the afternoon.
Hi Jack just found your schedule for January and will be sure to make the field trip on jan 3rd. I so excited to finally be here and available for one of your trips.
Looking forward to seeing you again – probably been ten plus years. Charley and I were at that long-ago first Sketchers Group that met probably in 1998 I believe at lake street, near Mountain lake in the Presidio (?) on a rather damp day.

So good to hear from you again! It will be great to reunite. There are a few folks who also were in that original journal club still involved and sketching. You remember John Attwood. He is doing amazing things in his journal. Looking forward to seeing you.
